Instruction for playing Freelancer with Clan Liquorfish:
Install the base Freelancer game but do not install any patches – we need this as the base install.
Download and install the Discovery mod from here: Discovery
You’ll need to change the Discovery mod shortcut to this to play with us: (Discovery mod installs to a different directory than your base Freelancer install)
C:\your game path\Discovery Freelancer 4.87.0\EXE\Freelancer.exe” -s22.214.171.124:2302
Optionally you can add -w on the end of that to give you windowed mode and also -d1920x1080 (whatever resolution) to set your resolution for windowed mode.
Once you load the game and run any Discovery mod patches, go to multiplayer and select internet servers and you should see Liquorfish. For the password and ip address you’ll need to ask us for access to the server. That’s it!
Here are the mod files, maps and UMOD extractor in case you want that (there is an extracted version of the mod though)
If you already have Tac Ops 1.2 installed you don’t need to download any of the maps. We’re now redirecting downloads to our website so that should speed things up tremendously. Currently 8 maps in rotation with extremely rough fixes to some of the maps lol
So, I’ve decided to make some functionality changes to Tac Ops 1.2 maps. Namely to fix certain issues with ladders on some maps. As I make the changes I will incorporate them with the server and remove the unedited maps. The first one I’ve changed is Cargo Ship. When on the boat facing land the right hand side ladder wouldnt work. I’ve removed the ladder and added steps there instead. This will make it’s way to the server soon.
I’m also looking into removing the ship’s rail or wall about the top of it but that might make it less fair for the terrorists. That’ll be for the second revision I guess.
Update: Removed the wall piece stopping swat from accessing the bridge on Rapid Waters – both maps on the server now in rotation.
Join us for a night of No More Room In Hell this Friday at 7pm PST.
Ok, created a new site for the domain. Maybe we’ll actually update it more often.
